The exhibition is open! Visit the show on Friday the 16th till 22.00 during light-festival 'Gouda bij Kaarslicht.'

Last week my new exhibition Exposure Value ZER0 opened and will be until the 31st of December. Moreover, I'm happy to share that this Friday the show is part of Gouda's annual light-festival Gouda bij Kaarslicht and is open until 22.00. Please come by for a drink and talk. I will be present from 16.00 onwards.

The project started in March this year by questioning: How much light do we need at night? What is necessary or sufficient? And what is excessive or redundant night lighting? Through the lens of my own photographic process, I explored Paris and London to unravel the brightness of human generated night lighting. The work presents the outcome of my art-based research and reveals what would otherwise be imperceptible to the human eye.

The installation was earlier on view at the WdKA Graduation Show and the Best of Graduates group show in the Ron Mandos gallery in Amsterdam. For my first solo show, I had the opportunity to refine the narrative in which the exhibition space's lighting is part of my artistic investigation.

Come by and discover for yourself.

Kind regards,
Jasper van den Ende
