Greenhouses are made of glass, yet their stories remain veiled: a world of light, labour, and lingering visions. The installation Afterglow pulls back this veil, drawing viewers into a world of light where plants and people coexist in the shimmering boundary between artificial and organic, the natural and synthetic.
In the background of the simulated pink room, an audio recording of night-shift labourers plays. Their voices recount the working conditions within the ethereal glow that forces plants to grow through the night, producing chlorophyll and, ultimately, a market-ready product.
